There have been numerous studies done an color alone, and charcoal gray is the least noticable.
I have worn out several vehicles during my career. I had a 98 Black Crown Vic with all high line interior and the interceptor package, never saw another one like it. One bondsman client said I should have it bronzed and mount it over the gate to my compound like Pablo Escobar did with his first airplane!
Sold that one with over 300,000 on the odometer and I still would have gone across country in it. Had a 2000 Windstar van, by far the most practical for surveillance, recovery and long distance trips. Still have a 2002 Gmc Yukon XL, that has had numerous trips across this country in the recovery of lost individuals and by far the most comfortable. 175,000 miles on the clock and with todays gas prices, it is resting!
I have made re-arrests on both of my current Harleys and Both previous Harleys, even heard a negative reference to "Renegade" while being paid off by a bondsman in cash, who came to transport his "emergency" recovery!
My current ride is an 06 VW Jetta Diesel, great mileage, and that offsets the 8 mpg from the motorhome with the detention center in the rear
Stay safe all,
Scott
