I use a '94 Dodge Grand Caravan. It's dark green with tinted windows. The middle seats are removed so there are several feet separating any captured fugitive and myself. This vehicle never looks out of place, from farmland to the worst ghettos to business districts to upscale residential neighborhoods.

We "roll" in a 91 Buick Park Ave, 98 Chevy Tahoe, and an 05 Ford Explorer. We use the Explorer more then anything because it's good on gas for an SUV, roomy, and we have it tinted out black with 22 inch rims to blend right in driving around or parking in the "hood".

Well, like I said, I drive a nissan maxima right now. It's a great car, but when I go out with like 2-3 other guys, I'd rather have something with a lot more room, expecially if we're going to be picking people up.

There have been numerous studies done an color alone, and charcoal gray is the least noticable.

I have worn out several vehicles during my career. I had a 98 Black Crown Vic with all high line interior and the interceptor package, never saw another one like it. One bondsman client said I should have it bronzed and mount it over the gate to my compound like Pablo Escobar did with his first airplane!

Sold that one with over 300,000 on the odometer and I still would have gone across country in it. Had a 2000 Windstar van, by far the most practical for surveillance, recovery and long distance trips. Still have a 2002 Gmc Yukon XL, that has had numerous trips across this country in the recovery of lost individuals and by far the most comfortable. 175,000 miles on the clock and with todays gas prices, it is resting!

I have made re-arrests on both of my current Harleys and Both previous Harleys, even heard a negative reference to "Renegade" while being paid off by a bondsman in cash, who came to transport his "emergency" recovery!

My current ride is an 06 VW Jetta Diesel, great mileage, and that offsets the 8 mpg from the motorhome with the detention center in the rear :)

Stay safe all,

Scott

I drive either a grey 97' mitsubishi galant or 05' mazda tribute. Bith are 4 cylinders so they get good gas mileage.

I'm actually thinking about a Scion xB now... Heard they feel very roomy inside. Think I'll go test drive one soon.
