A new perspective.

I recently spoke to a highly respected man that is a member of this forum and NABBI. After my preaching that we shouldn't be kicking in doors this man said some things that made me re-think this subject.

During our conversation, he pointed out that were times that he has kicked in doors and explained why he felt he needed to do so. He doesn't kick in doors for the sake of kicking them in and he is very selective n which doors he feels he needs to enter. After our conversation I now have another perspective on this subject. While I hope to never kick in a door I now understand why it sometimes has to be done. This man will remain nameless as he likes to stay under the radar, which is true professionalism in my opinion.

A few loud thumps usually allows us access when the situation calls for it. Aside from those few and far in between situations, a silver tongue has been one of the best weapons in my arsenal. I'm sure some time I may find the need to kick a door in but I would rather forgo the paperwork and/or court time that comes with it. It may be legal to do,, doesn't mean they won't try like hell to get you in deep do-do for it.

I tend to agree with Mr. Silver... I am pretty good at talking my way into and out of most situations... I suppose, in a rare instance... I might consider kicking in the door but to date... it has never happened...


BTW... thank you Bill Williams for your help and amazing speed of getting the job done... you are amazing... and thank that big guy from Knox City for me... I know you enjoyed hanging out with him for those few hours... I do appreciate all you do...

Dropped our man off where needed... paperwork signed... hit the sack for a much needed 4 or 5 ours and now... back at it again...

I've been hesitant about putting this in the open section but maybe it will help someone, so here goes.

Recently I was asked to pick up a skip in North Carolina. I soon found he had left the area a few days prior to my getting the case. I continued to work it day and night anyways. I soon found that he was in New York and who he was staying with. I set up a con from NC and instructed the so called Recovery agent on what should be done. I had a friend of the skip believing that a friend of theirs was going to meet them at a particular place outsde of Brooklyn. I told the so called recovery agent to id the guy and follow him home where the skip had been staying.

What they did instead was to approach the guy at the predetermined spot and began to question him. Needless to say the guy denied knowing the skip which was an absolute lie. The so called recovery agent asked the guy if he could check his apartment The guy agreed. No one was there. The skip and his other friend had been watching the so called recovery agent from a distance because they felt that this would happen. In fact, they had a hell of a time laughing at these idiots. Had I had the time to get there before the predetermined time that the friend of the skip had insisted upon I would have been there. Instead I had to do this on the phone.

Moral of this true story If you don't know what you're doing, can't follow simple instructions and think on your feet, please reconsider getting into this line of work This skip has been on the run for two years and after seeing what happened I now know why.
