I received a call a few days ago regarding a TV show that may come out in the near future. Today I received a fax that read:

The series will be produced by Craig Piligian.

BOUNTY HUNTER (working title) will be produced by PILGRIM FILMS AND TELEVISION. Joining Piligian as executive producer is Rob Katz, who co-executive produced "Southen Steel" and "Ghost Huntes."

Recieved in my mail this morning, thought id post for you folks :D .

Dear Bail / Recovery Agent:

You may have heard that American Bounty Hunter, the 1996 show about the work of bail and recovery agents, has gone back into production, along with a new show about the growing numbers of women in your industry; Bail Chix. You can read information about both shows at: www.talkguests.com/abh.htm and www.bailchix.com

We are proud that major bail and recovery industry leaders have lent their support to our shows (www.talkguests.com/bailsupport.htm). These include; PBUS, National Institute of Bail Enforcement, National Enforcement Agency, National Bail Bond Investigators Association and numerous others.

PBUS bail agents across the country, and other industry execs, like Scott Olson, Bob Burton, Mike Whitlock, Jeff Kirkpatrick, Jim Kelly (and dozens of others), will tell you that we understand the work and needs of your industry, and we know how to deliver that message to the American Public. After all, we have served the bail industry in one capacity or another for the past ten years.

We felt it was time that someone make available to the television industry a program that the industry could be proud of, especially in light of other reality shows on the air, that are primarily about dysfunctional families who just happen to work in your industry.

Now that we are in production, and finalizing a network deal, other shows are springing up and approaching some of you. We cannot control which shows you decide to work with, if any at all, but we employ you to do your homework: closely examine the producers and determine their knowledge of your industry, and ask them how they plan to portray your industry.

If you would like to be part of our shows, please call us or respond to this email. The phone number below is manned 24/7. We will answer all of your questions, and share with you the compensation program we have put in-place to see to it that your time and efforts are rewarded, should you allow us to film you in your work.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Rod Mitchell

Back in the 1980's I was contacted 'three times' to do a segment on the old Bounty Hunter show (not the American Bounty Hunter show produced by Ron Mitchell) that ran weekly. I declined because there was no contract to receive an honorarium (a one time payment). I was told there was no need for an honorarium contract because the others did it and were paid. Guess what? The others were not paid! They were to each receive $400 per showing. Then I heard the show was being sued for non-payment to the BEA's; I never did hear what happened regarding the law suit.

Just my opinion.

Thanks LAW,

He emailed me last night in reply after I emailed him with some concerns... he mentioned speaking with you as well. Seems he has also been working with that fellow here in Indiana who just won that case on credit cards in the jails in our favor.
