If any of you are the religious type, say a prayer for my grand-niece, Brandi Bernard. She was murdered by a viscious scumbag who never should have been released from a Pennsylvania prison.

L.A.W,

Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies during this time of grief. No words can assuade the emotional turmoil you and your family are in right now.

I can only say that I regret the passing of a life, especially one so young, innocent and beautiful.

Call upon me if I may be of service in some small way.

Lance,
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. This tragedy proves that our wonderful CJ system in this country is a farce. I also pray that law enforcement never catches up with this individual. Rather, he ends up in the hands of the L.A.W.

God Bless

Another shameful facet of her death is that she was an unusually exceptional 19 year old (she would have been 20 on August 28) who did little except to help everyone she could. On Wednesday nights she would make two trips to an old age home to take some residents to play bingo. On Sundays she would make the same two round trips to take elderly people to church.

Brandi was saving to attend additional criminal justice classes at Hesser College in Manchester, NH.

Her employer appreciated how she ran his business so much he paid for the entire funeral so all I had to do was to give her the lot I had reserved for myself.

The murderer, Robert Lopez, beat Brandi in the head with 13 strikes from a hammer and then stabbed her in the stomach causing a closed coffin funeral.

Lopez then went to his mother's house in Newark, New Jersey where his brother, a Newark police officer, surrendered his brother to the police.

We all deal with a lot of scum bags and don't really think about it so when a "good person" is so visciously murdered it brings us all to the realities we're surrounded with.
