Does anyone know where I can get a vectorized image of the silver or gold star badge that is used on this site?

I need it to get a hat embroidered.

I am not familiar with that term. Do you mean digitized so you can bring the file to an embroiderer? We have sponsor logos in jpeg that we take to embroiderers that handle that for us to sew on my son's driving suit. They do charge a set up fee and I believe they have a program that transfers it to their system. I have heard them talk about stitches per inch, and more costs more!

Vector is the common format of an image after it has been digitized for embroidery. So what the company charges you for the "Set-Up" fee includes digitizing the image. I was thinking if anyone had it and wanted to share then it would be easier on the rest of us with our gear.

The logo you are seeking is already available in both silver and gold through many vendors on shirts, ball caps, coffee mugs, key chains, notebooks, etc.

Scott H. has them, NClES has them, several others as well.

Also, please be careful, this badge was copied from the U.S. Marshall's badge. It is illegal in several jurisdictions as well as possibly opening yourself up to impersonation issues/charges of a federal leo.

I have had occasion to work with U.S. Marshall's in the past, and I have 1 of these badges myself that I keep in my briefcase, glovebox, etc...that I bought years ago when I first got into this business. We compared them side by side. They are identical in appearance. The Marshall told me that it was illegal for me to use. Since then, it sits on my desk as a paperweight.

Thanks for the heads up. I have discussed it with all the LEO agancies here and they have no problem as long as I make it clear when asked that I am NOT law enforcement.

Yeah the availability is just not on the type of hat I like and the shirts are all short sleeve.

Dustin,
If someone can send me a high quality JPG or GIF or PSD file, I can rasterize it for you. It looks like the eagle may be tough though. I will try nonetheless if you can find it.
