Hey guys,
I just joined recently. I am not a BEA but an insurance agent in Pgh, PA.
We provide insurance for constables, security guards and private investigators through out the country. We have just learned about the need for liability insurance for BEAs and may be able to help.
As you realize each state is different. Some states have license and insurance requirements others do not. Even if the states don't have an insurance requirement, some of your Bail companies may. They may not give you a list of fugitives until you show proof of insurance. Having an insurance policy in place may make you more marketable than some of your neighboring BEAs.
Bonds are tough too. We do alot of Bond work but for BEAs it is more difficult. I don't handle the bonds myself so I can not speak too much on this topic but if you are interested, I can refer our bond underwriter to you.
If you need help with insurance, give me a call at 412-281-0673 x 157
Greg
