OK, now that I have wiped all the laughter tears out of my view and cleaned the coffee out of my keyboard, welcome to the forum, DonnaK. Stick around and you will learn a lot. Besides, LuVonda and I can always use help keeping these guys in line. In case you haven't figured it out, they are a handful...LOL.

the Lambada - isn't that the one "see how low you can go"

Thats the "Limbo", Luvonda, (the one that made the back of my head, flat)

PS; ... I also did the "mambo" once, ... but that was on a "hostile" skip. :)

Donna,
Welcome to the Board and I'm glad you enjoyed the seminar. Don't worry about things being "over your head". Continue to ask questions and learn and it won't be long before we are asking you for advice.

Kathy,
The four of us briefly discussed taking the show on the road and Texas was the place we gave first thought. I only organized the seminar in Knoxville. I'm really not the Chief of the group, I'm just one of the Indians. Anytime people are serious about getting together to promote this industry, learn from one another, and network, I'll be there. Either as a participant or an attendee, it makes very little difference to me.

The rest of the story regarding the gang signs is pretty simple. I was overwhelmed by the block of instruction on"Gangs" by Investigator Jim Quick of the Knoxville Police Department Intelligence Division. There was so much that I didn't know; Things like, a gang member rubbing his stomach means for his fellow gang members to surround the person the first gang member is talking to. Pretending to "dust of his jacket" is a sign to attack the person without delay or warning. Certain hand signs mean that the gang member intends to kill you. I don't knowingly bond out active gang members as I believe them to be too great a risk, but my recovery team is sometimes called in to help recover one for another company and I thought the intel we received from this class was great. So yes, If I'm picking up a known or suspected gang member and he starts fidgeting too much, he's going to have a bad day.

Sorry to have missed all the fun. But, the Boss had a business trip last week and didn't get home until Friday morning. Plus it was our 15th wedding anniversary and I had to do the devoted husband thing all weekend long!

However, if there is another event next year, I will be there. Suggestions for locations could be Vegas, easy and cheap to get to and a bail / BEA friendly town. Texas, again easy to get to most cities, law and order friendly and can't beat the BBQ. Florida is also cheap in the summer and not hard to get to.

I would stay away from California. Too expensive, too anti gun too flaming liberal!

Where in Texas? And speaking of Texas was Steve in attendance? Been kinda missing that bad boy.
If Texas, Kathy has family there and it really isn't too awful far (depending on location) from me. What about Tim's haunted basement?
And isn't Ruffin doing something in LR in May?
I know I know too many questions.

Mr. Hedrick was not in attendance and he was sorely missed, as were the two young ladies on here :)

My family is in the DFW area, and I would be open to going there. You would need someone in the area to organize it. Daron Sneed is there, as well as a couple of other new members on the forum. Any takers???
