00' Nissan Maxima here... I'd really like to get some sort of bigger SUV though, like an Excusion or something.

Gas is estimated to go up close to 30-40% by Christmas time. So why by a gas guzzler ?

Right now, people are trading in the low mpg vehicles for the higher ones, cars like Nissan's, Suzuki's, Mazda's, etc. Several of these companies and others, make 4 door suv's and trucks that are more than suitable for our work, like the Nissan frontier 4 door package.

I've been looking into hybrids.... If I could rig up some type of caged trailer that could be towed by a motorscooter which gets 60mpg I would probably do so.

I have used a Ford Taurus (32 mpg) and am considering going back to it. It has plenty of room, get up and go and takes quite a beating and keeps on ticking. I am also considering a Toyota Camry same mpg with lots of room, depreciates slower than any other model of cars. Both of these would not be as unique as Ruffins idea of a mini cooper though :D .

Maybe i am spoiled but i still use a 2005 crn vic or a 2000 dodge dakota p/u sometimes gregs ford lightning maybe gregs jeep grand cherokee or my wifes jeep liberty or one of maybe a dozen repos at my storage lot-

as far as fuel goes i average approx 100,000 miles a year in both repo and bea and i figure fuel as a business expense and add a fuel surcharge on any long arrest or repo i figure it as a expense

gregs lightning gets gallons per mile-my vic does about 20 mpg both my dakota and grand cherokee do about 16 -- so long as gas is available i still like comfort and there is nothing like good old american iron under my butt
