Just looking over my names list as members that I had talked with over the years... lots of them are gone... but where??

Many have not posted in years... I am deleting the ones that are at least a year without posting... and some are not even listed when you click their names they come up as non-existing...

This is a rough business and it seems many don't last long... oh well...

It appears that the ones that are sticking around are the cream of the crop... other than me of course... I'm here since I have nothing better to do than get on here every once in a while and cause a ruckus...

I guess I need to start telling a few more stories to see if I can liven up this bunch some more...

So............. where is everyone going... getting out of the business... ????

Actually... some were never really in the business... just said they were and then just...............

................ faded away......................

FRN was one of my first stops throughout my journey. I'm still holding strong and getting better everyday. I'm not going anywhere soon. 8)

I believe that social media networks are surpassing forums of this nature...

What Jason said! I am here sometimes, but when you are working, you have little time for the frivilous pursuits!

I've enjoyed FRN since day one. It's been nice conversing and actually meeting some folks I would never have known about if it weren't for this forum.

No matter how long we've been in this business, we can still learn from others and that's what I've done. Yeah, there's been a few arguments and misunderstandings, but that only adds to a good dialogue in my opinion.

I do wish the folks that seem to have left would come back and share their valuable experiences. It would also be nice if some of the new folks would start to comment here. Maybe they could learn from some seasoned professionals and some just might learn something from them.

I've seen some of the social media and frankly it seems everybody is in a pissing contest trying to show how much better they are from the next , showing pictures of their latest capture which in some cases is their only capture. I do have one major complaint and I hope one day this will be rectified. I think this would encourage folks to re-visit this forum. I'll keep that one to myself but really do hope it's taken care of at some point.

Bill

Unfortunately I have seen FRN decline over the years I am sad to say I do not think it will ever be like it was. This is only my opinion and you add $2.47 with it and you might get a cup of coffee. To many good people have gone for one reason or another, Moderator burn out and just the fact a lot of us have been here from the start even if it doesn't say so in the members sections.
There is only so much one can say about this business and over the years it's been said over and over and over. I have made so many friends and business folks on here and have considered a lot here as my family and still do and always will. I think as we get older it takes more out of us at our daily jobs and we just don't have the energy to talk for hours anymore. I know my job as fisherman takes a lot out of me    . I do want to take the time to thank each and everyone here that has taken time out of their life to come in and participate , you guy's and girls are the best in the business. I still enjoy reading your posts, comments and news articles.

I can't comment much on the FRN membership status, as I barely comment (sorry).
But I have noticed a great number of old Recovery Agents hanging up their handcuffs lately. My old partner for one, health issues. I've seen Agents simply shut down when health care insurance became law. And lets face it, it is a very difficult industry to be in. What with fighting to get paid, bad media attention, and the job can be a headache at times.
