Great restaurants in Charleston and Savanna (although that is in GA)... lots of history, beautiful architecture... old south stuff...
... as for recovery or bonding... someone else will have to advise you on that... only been there a couple of time on recoveries and those went pretty smooth...
... only time I like going to SC is during bike week... Myrtle Beach in May... and then,,, every once in a while I like to drop in for a quick visit to Parris Island, SC.... just for nostalgia purposes...
