Best state to be a bounty hunter??

I'm an aspiring bounty hunter and I plan on relocating I'm not too picky but I want to move somewhere in the south perticularly more conservative aswell I'm curious as to what the most leniant state I could be a bounty hunter in thanks guys

I answered your question, sort of, in your introductory post. I believe you should decide where you want to live and work, and then learn the laws and licensing required to operate there. You'll be happier that way.

If I may jump in. I would expand on Toms response.

You need to research the states that you consider moving to. If you pick one with no bail recovery laws and think that is best, you may not like other things about the state.

The cost of living, schools, lack of other jobs, recreation and maybe bail is not a real big business.

It sounds like you want to get into bounty hunting and want to find the easiest state to do it in. You will have to understand trying to get work in an area that you are not familiar with, don't know the customs of the local people, will make it hard for you to get work.

If I had a choice between a new out of area recovery agent and a local agent, I would chose the local guy that already knows the area, people and laws.

So, you will have to get a day job to support yourself until you can get up to speed with bail recovery.

Now that is not impossible to do but don't expect to hit the ground running as soon as you get to the new location. It may take you a couple years to get started and to start making any kind of income.

Are you willing to put in a lot of hard work?

I would say Indiana, I worked with some people from there while there on business.

The firearms, apparel, and arrest laws regarding fugitive recovery are very lax compared to Florida. They have a year (if i remember correctly) before having to pay a bond, and are granted extensions regularly. They seem to have a good reputation with law enforcement, and the cost of living is very low.

that being said there are probably a lot of other states that are similar, but i have no experience in those other places.

but I will say, Florida has to have the toughest regulations of any other place I have visited while on the job.
