I guess I should comment as it was I, who posted the link to the new story.
Now, I have had several CA bail agents contact me regarding the classes the Bernstein promotes in CA. Two separate "students" contacted me with complaints about receiving false promises such as that once they completed the course that they were now "licensed" to do bail recovery.
I believe the course a 2 day weekend class cost $600.
If memory serves me right, one of the calls was when CAs PC 1299 bail recovery certification, was still in force.
So, if their complaints were true then I have a problem with the BH Academy. They mis represent the value of the class, at least to CA students. And they are not an CA Dept of Insurance approved bail education provider.

Well Joe, I too had no idea you had it in you. I started to call you the last time I came through Knoxville and ask you about that japanese restaurant you told me about, but my boss gets quite out spoken on long trips without resting for a while first. So I felt it was in our (mine and your) best intrest to continue on.  After Gabby is born next month We'll take a couple of trips one of which should be the NABBI trip as long as everyone here is healthy.

Well it appears that he is in fact a convicted felon, that he was recently arrested on new assault and gun charges. He is not a licensed private investigator nor has he been since 2006. Along with the fact that his license was revoked by New York State in 2008. This is the type of individual that sickens me to know end, doing wrong being caught at it and then doing it again.

Scott H. Bernstein was convicted of a felony in Calif. in 2005 . He was arrested for having a stungun at the airport ( www.mugshots.com) He was charged for two counts of imp. a officer and one count of drug pos. For this charge he got community service. He was arrested for one count of poss. a weapon and two count of menacing. This was in Rockland Co. on 1/31/2012 . He lost his P.I. lic. in 2008. He stills has a website were he claims to be a P.I.

It looks like Scott fail to get his lic. revewed . Scott Bernstein v. Dept. of State, Div. of Licening Services. June 14, 2012 www.caselaw.com I dont know if his conv. in Tombstone, Ariz. went off as planned . The dates changed. Also note Scott also goes by the name Mike Kelly .
