Wow, Because he is not legally allowed to be armed, we should not be either if we so choose?
I get more impressed with PBUS every day.

Just posted a comment to the story.

Also, thinking about sending out a NABBI release to counter his continued speaking out against professional recovery agents "choosing" to carry fierarms when necessary.

Don't take the choice away from us. Fugitives have already displayed their insubordinate attitude towards the law. Does someone really think that fugitives will not carry firearms because bounty hunters are not carrying? Don't think so... it's going to make them want to carry more.

Law enforcement are armed because they do not know what they are walking in to. We know exactly what we are walking in to...

Lets hope the bill passes and is signed into law. Then he would not be able to work in NM because the law prohibits felons from woking as BH is NM.

The only negative, it prohibits the use of firearms during recovery operations.

This is only my opinion and certaily not trying to tell anyone else what to do when it comes to pbus. While Duane and Beth Chapman have no space in my mind and I couldn't care less what they're doing or frankly, what they've done. Given an offer of a couple million a year I can't honestly say I wouldn't have taken the same deal if offered. I can assure you no one would offer me 100 bucks to film what I do. pbus is a different matter, I wouldn't go if they paid me to come to their buddy buddy, I'm better than you game. Everybody wanting to look better than the person next to them. I'm not impressed with these cats nor am I impressed with any member they may have. Having said that, the insurance company I write for damn near owns pbus and other than that it's a pretty good company...Had to get this one off my chest.

So the bill actually includes this asinine 'no firearms' requirement? This is utterly ridiculous and someone will be hurt or killed. Probably with a firearm!

Thanks for the comments Bill.

I've been to enough PBUS events to know the lay of the land. Our trip there is to drum up membership and to get the word out about NABBI.

At least for now, they are the biggest game in town, nationally that is. They also have the largest turnout of sureties of any bail related event.

But there are some state associations, such as Tennessee that draw more attendees at their CE classes than attend the PBUS covnentions.

Regarding the sureties Bankers, Lexington, Roche, Accredited, BailUSA are all the top dogs, along with many of their general agencies.

Any new contacts we can make for NABBI, could mean more work for our members.
