Hey fellow gun nuts, I'm trying to get some reviews. A friend of mine is looking at buying a Ruger SR40C. I'm not familiar with this model. I know some of you are. Can I get some pros and cons on this gun? Thanks.

Ruger SR40C is a well made hand gun. Has a good grip and feel to it and a smooth trigger pull. It has a three dot sights and the rear sight is adjustable. It shoots well and keeps a less than 3" grouping at around 25 yards. It is reliable and accurate as well as very concealable for a .40 caliber. Also the combination of the stainless steel slide and polymer frame make for easy maintenance.
Hope that helps you out.

One thing about firearms is if you ask ten people you will get ten different responses. When choosing a firearm its best to shop around try a few out at the range and see what is the best fit for you and meets your needs.

To further reenforce the previous posts, I tend to stay with higher end firearms (which usually means something manufactured in Germany or Austria).
I also draw a distinction between combat handguns and self defense handguns.. Combat handguns generally do not have a safety, and can still fire with the magazine removed. This comes into play when conducting tactical reloads, you retain the ability to fire the round that is still in the chamber, as you reload.
When choosing a handgun, I generally concentrate on three factors: accuracy out of the box, durability / reliability, and cost. When considering these factors, it is hard to beat a Glock, in my opinion.
I'm sure the Ruger is a fine weapon. These are just my opinions.

Thanks for the input. I'm the type that if it shoots straight and reliably, and feels comfortable in my hand, then that's my gun. I own quite a few guns, but I am partial to my Glocks. Sorry to confuse you with that spelling error Bil! I mean Bll. I mean Billl. Ah whatever the hell your name is!

Havent owned a Ruger in a very long time but the ones I have had in the past were very solid guns.

I think I'll check out that wheel gun. If nothing else, I can always use another toy!
