I hope and pray that all of our members in that area survived the devastating storms that struck that region late Friday afternoon/early evening.

I wasn't aware of these storms until earlier today as I had not seen the news. Living in "Tornado Alley" and having survived numerous storms of varying severity, I know 1st. hand how traumatic these incidents can be.

Thanks Ruffin, power is still out all over the place. We had confirmed 80mph winds and a lightening show that would have made Walt Disney jealous. I am writing this from the bond Commissioner's office posting bonds on people locked up on Thursday and Friday because the computers were down and no bails were set!

Glad you are ok. Speezak, Yack and Bill W. have all been on since last night, so we know they are alive. I haven't seen DSI post anything yet. Hope he is ok too.

Lots of wind, trees down... pool is full of leaves and sticks but no damage.... guess it's getting ready for the end of the world in December.... I guess the world is heating up.... weather is crazy and getting worse...

I have a generator that should run my AC if needed and Gail's O'2 machine.... my son, wife, 2 kids and the dog came down last nite... they have no power and since they live in the country.... no water since the well pump of course won't run without it...

So I got a house full, so far we have power.... hope we can make it till Sept.... hopefully it will cool off a bit... just hope I can pay my Power bill.... probably over $500 this month...

Main thing is that all of you are ok. Sure, losing power is a pain, heat is miserable, etc. But you have each other and that's what's important.

Just fyi, if you lose your water for whatever reason, you can make do with your swimming pool. Just make sure you boil it for 15 minutes before cooling it down to drink or cook with.

After thought; You and your son may want to go back to his house and secure all valuables: Guns, jewelry, etc. When these things happen here, looting becomes a major issue.

A year ago this past April, when we had killer tornadoes from Birmingham to Nashville (200 mile stretch along I-65 North), Looting started immediately. In some jurisdictions, local authorities initiated curfews, and the local leo's held press conferences stating that looters could be shot by homeowner's and business owner's alike.
