Quote: Convicted Felon Sentenced To Prison For Carrying Firearm And Impersonating A U.S. Marshal
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 10, 2012
BIRMINGHAM – A federal judge today sentenced an Indianapolis man to four years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm and impersonating a U.S. Marshal, announced U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance and ATF Special Agent in Charge Glenn N. Anderson. U.S. District Judge R. David Proctor sentenced VIRGIL JERMAINE COLEMAN, 31, for two counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and for three counts of impersonating a U.S. Marshal. Coleman pleaded guilty to the charges in October. Coleman had been convicted of burglary in Indiana in 2006. According to the federal charges, Coleman, on three occasions between May 6, 2011, and June 4, 2011, impersonated a federal officer by wearing a fraudulent U.S. Marshal badge and identification and carrying a sidearm. Posing as a marshal, Coleman extorted drugs and money from several Huntsville residents. Coleman has remained in custody since his arrest in August. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Marshal Service and the Huntsville Police Department and the Decatur Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Terence O’Rourke prosecuted the case.

I simply dont understand why some in this industry think they need to go out looking like SWAT every single time they go out on a case. I really dont understand it, and it pisses me off when these types of people ruin the general image for everyone else trying to make a honest living in it. Whatever happened to the "private investigator" look (like a suit and tie) for interviews and etc and maybe some cargo pants and a sweater with a vest underneath for apprehension??? The worst part of it is these guys KNOW that this stuff makes them look like they are someone they aren't and STILL do it!

Agent Gear USA It is not advertised by THIS SITE ... it is a Google Ad / Sponsor ... Now if a person decides to go out and buy a Badge that might be illegal or get him / her arrested in the area they are working without doing their due diligence in reviewing the legal laws of that State... then OH WELL.. I can go out and buy a badge that Says "POLICE" on it for ANY STATE / TOWN / CITY Police Dept .. it doesnt mean I am allowed to wear it in Public.. but it is sold on the internet as well ..? Just Saying...
