Joe Stiles called me on a girl that was calling for a bond in East TN and she had a MD accent. So I ran her up here, as many names as she had charges! Then, when she was extradited back to St. Mary's County, MD she called me for a bond. She denied being brought back on a fugitive warrant and when I told her that all bondsman have a private network where bail skips all over the country are recorded as bond jumpers. Because I had so much detail on her, she believed me. I had guys calling from the jail for months asking if they were in the registry!
My daughter goers with me on all femail bail jumpers and she can tell you some stories!

I have an ex-girlfriend who is in the military reserves who has gone with me. I also have a female friend who I grew up with who doesn't mind playing sidekick for a few hours and a couple bucks.
Bottom line, I won't do solo pick-ups on a female. Obvious reasons that many here know.

I'm going to let this solo female recovery be my last.
I am, however, very pleased to announce that this worked out as good as it possibly could have. My skip spent the weekend in jail. Going in on friday afternoon got her the earliest court date I have ever heard of. She pleaded guilty to Illegal Possesion of Alchohol by a Minor at 9 am monday morning, was issued a fine and was released monday afternoon. Her family called me to ask if I would give her a ride home. I called our Franklin, IN office and spoke with Judy, my manager, to see if she could swing the ride home while I sat at her desk. My skip got her ride home, I got $100 and wrote another 8k in surety, and Judy got to get out of the office for a few hours. Big Win!
I just hope that the law of averages doesnt meet Murphy's law too soon. I like when things go the way I want them to.

I should add that my skip is 20 yrs old = minor. Not including that leaves a lot room for speculation...

Ummm..I thought a minor was a person 18 years old or younger? You can't drink until 21, but 20 years old is not considered a minor....

Here it is still considered "minor" until they are 21. Which really messes folks up when they are arrested and they start boohooing that they are under 21 and should no be going to Jail. They are considered "Juvenile" until 18 and cannot be taken to an actual Jail but only into the Lobby until they can be recovered by a parent / guardian or taken to the Juvenile Detention Ctr.
Even if charged as an Adult, if they are under 18 they cannot even be booked into the Adult Center . . . only charged

Sometimes it depends on the context of the law or crime. Federal law defines 'minor' in some places as those under 18. That's the general case for sexual offenses with a 'minor'. In other places they define a 'juvenile' as someone under the age of 18. Typically a 'juvenile' cannot possess a handgun, but a person 18 or older can. Then there are all the State variations on it. Generally state law defines a minor as a person under 21, and a juvenile as someone under the age of 18. But not all states are the same. Most of it comes from allowing states to set their own drinking age, and whether or not they want to allow consumption/possession under 21 or not. I guess the best answer might be, it's not real clear in all cases.

Here some more confusion from CA.
18 y/o's can possess long guns but not handguns. Must be 21 before getting standard drivers license. 18 y/o's can sign legallly binding contracts. At age 13, if the crime is serious enough they can be charged as adult. Recent murders of his parents by a 15 y/o, will be tried as adult. That way he can not be automatically released at age 25. He will have to serve his full term once transferred to adult prison.
