Yes, I will be there. Just 1 right now, I may take another investigator with me but we'll see.
I look forward to seeing all those who can make it and hope that more of you can come than the current turnout might suggest.
Thanks, Tony, for putting this together.

I have posted information on bailrecovery@yahoo.com, emailed bail and recovery agents I know and posted on facebook. I have 2 more showing interest in attending. So, really we need 25 paying attendees to cover the hotel meeting room and food costs. We are about half way there.

Tony,
The way you take up for recovery agents in an industry that largely pretends we don't exist, or aren't of any importance, until we are direly needed, is just awesome! Especially since I know that you in particular do not regularly require the service.

Thanks Tom for the nice words. If there is no recovery side of the business, old farts like me, would be up a creek. The older I get the harder it is just to walk the Bosses dogs around the block, let alone chase after some 20 something year old skip. Besides, I know we have to unite everyone involved in the bail bond business to fight off the coming attempts to regulate us out of business. I will expand on what is happening in CA a bit later. It is not good. Robert, sorry you can't make it to Vegas. Next year we will have a meet on the east coast. As far as taking pictures, I believe there is a rule in Las Vegas, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Just a teaser for mainly the CA folks, I'm on a conference call right now with about 100 bail agents, sureties, a few recovery agents, CA Assemblyman Hagman ( a bail Agent ), lobbyists and the 2 CA bail associations.
The discussion is about the governors plan to send state prisoners back to the counties to serve their time. That would cause some counties to release inmates early, without bail.
The plan would be to release some "pre trial" imates on EM instead of bail. So, PTRS will get a big boost in CA, in all of the counties.
The end result could be less peeople released on surety bail, more released on OR or OR with EM.
More later on a sperate thread.
