Just a little info in case you were not aware....

Be aware guys, there is no garnishment in NC.... and very likely other states as well, without garnishment process you may be out your money... keep this in mind.

Virginia allows and will enforce garnishments, be very aware of your states laws relating to this and other processes in getting your money back.

To the best of my Knowledge there are only 4 states that only government may garnish wages.

If that is the case how do "ordinary" service providers make claim for non paid monies? Here I have tried to find a std form (Illinois had one) but have not been able to locate one. I may be looking in the wrong place. I, at one time asked the District Court for one but it is more of a "put together" type form than an actual.
If there is someone else here from Arkansas I would be interested in hearing how you go about doing it. Because quite frankly I think that thses forms should be prefilled out at time of "bond" . . . sorta like when buying a car ;) ;) I (when I lived in Illinois) foundd the required "base form" @ an Office Supply Store (yes, it shall remain nameles lol) and yet there seems to be no such thing here (AR) wtf . . . what happened to responsibility ?

You can get the judgment but not a garnishment... the judgment remains in place but there is nothing basically to force collection. Even a DOT on property is only collectible if they sell and then you are probably down the line so far there will be nothing left... unless of course if you happen to have 1st. DOT... then possibly.

All the forms are downloadable from the states website... http://www.courts.state.va.us/ but there is no substance to them in those states that do not allow... Virginia does work... I have collected monies owed here but not in NC...

The best way to collect money in NC is to threaten to take away their color TV... or their pickup...

Here is the official forms page in Virginia... maybe you could change some of the wording?

http://www.courts.state.va.us/forms/home.html

Is this something that might help?

Tony, I hope before they plant me, I get a chance to meet you in person... I think we have some of the same mind set... I would enjoy sharing a drink and some conversation. As for the refrigerator... it is usually beside the dog pen... the washing machine is on the front porch.
