The bulletin didn't say anything about shooting or suicide by cop. That said, nobody is offended or troubled by this. Simply stated, info is key and specific and correct info is gospel.

I know I wont be doing any business with them, bail wise. They have their on bond agency in Oakland taking care of all their northern CA bail dealings.

You could use the same tactic on any organized group or club. In my opinion, the end does not justify the means, as it is still an infringement on the individuals personal rights. I have to agree with Scott on this. Some LEOs assume if you are riding a Harley in a 'pack', wearing a leather vest showing your 3-piece colors, you must be a criminal. The club I was with was frequently stopped and potentially illegal searches were conducted of our bikes. Mind you, the club is composed of military combat veterans who served honorably in a war this country didn't much like. But since we looked like 'outlaw bikers', we were stopped.
Like any organization (including law enforcement), there are always a few bad apples in the basket, but genreally speaking most club members abide by the law. Also, my experience with Reliable Confidential Informants is they are only reliable about 10 to 20 percent of the time....remember, they have usually been arrested and are trying to make 'deals' for lighter punishment.
And in regards to Tony's post; not only do they have their own bail agency, they rarely, if ever, have any skips. The local chapter puts up the money for the bond and if they don't show they will have the entire club looking for them.
They also have attorneys and PI's on retainer as well.

Madi,
Having knowledge of a situation or scenario does not equate to sympathy. Personally, I have a clearance and would lose it just for associations alone, were I so inclined. I do ride and have for many years. I do not associate with 1% clubs. They don't want hangers on, and I don't like being told who my friends are, and am not interested in illegal activities, real or imagined. My interest is in the potential violation of anyone's civil rights and I view this vague bolo as just that. There is so many feuds internal to these clubs that are settled with violence, that anyone who approaches a patch holder as if they are not armed, be it LE or BEA, is a fool.
The exchange of ideas is how we learn from each other, so do not hesitate to continue to share information.

What was in the bolo on the flyer was alot less info then what I received from my contact... which is why I passed on what I had been told from someone that recieved the info first hand from the LE department. Obviously LE departments dont always put out everything on thier flyers for the public to see...
There are alot of biker clubs out there, including LE clubs, which have been in "situations" just like the Hells Angels and are just as dangerous depending on who you are and what your contact is with them regardless of what bandana they are wearing that day.
The goal of my message was just to share the info I had. I had NO IDEA that small bit of info would be so wildly debated on here... LOL.. Lesson Learned!

I took this exchange as a learning experience, not a debate. I did not know many of the points about the bikers that were brought up.
