BTW who do you work for in Frederick? I'm based out of Martinsburg, WV but have worked for some bondsmen in Frederick in the past.

Spooking a defendant is something that we all want to avoid, but when the subterfuge and being nice doesn't work, eventually the aggressive does. If enough people, including the defendant know that you are looking for them, somebody will come forth. Sometimes it is the defendant, sometimes it is an enemy, or simply somebody out for the reward if you post one. I have had numerous defendants turn themselves in after openly contacting a few family members and friends. If that didn't work, other tactics were used. My last skip had kept in contact with me until the last minute, then decided to hide. After posting a lot of reward posters and talking to any contact that she had pretty much ever had, I got a lot of anonymous calls, and one from a previous defendant of mine that paid off. The person that gave me the info wasn't really in it for the reward, but I paid it anyway. That is also important. Be known for keeping your word! This person would not have known that the info given was good if I hadn't called back once the apprehension was made. It took a month for me to get their return call from my voice mail, but once I got it, payment was made.
