Darlin you will Notice it does not say . . . . "Private Member" . . . If it did we might would have to go with the "polkadot" look . . . It say . . . Verified.

There are folks on here that are color coded yellow . . . does not mean that they are not certified . . . it simply means that they are not in the Verified (Blue) Section.

Now, Mr Steve, I suggest that you do abit of reading here and get a real good idea of the personalities that you are wanting to hang with. We (I know I will) will do some reading of you . . .
Welcome to the FRN . . . . read read read . . . we can tend to be a bit unruly at times and then . . . it is off to the Whuppin Room (Thanks Andy)

Just clarify this..... I thought verification and private area were two entirely different sections....

LuVonda, don't get mad at me now... but that was the question... I am not talking about the color of the names, I am simply asking.... are the terms "verified" and "Private area" synonymous? Cause I always thought they were two different levels... if they are the same, then I understand and will not ask again. Please clarify the question and refer to the 4 levels in my original question. Does that reflect the way it works or not?

I understand your point Bill.
Below is how the front index page reads:

SECTION TITLE - VERIFIED MEMBERS ONLY
SUB_SECTION - Private Discussions
Private section for verified members only to discuss industry information.

So, yes you have to be a verifed member to enter the Privave Discussion area.

Step one is "Guest." A guest can only read certain areas of the Public Forum. These are people who visit the forum to read, but do not register for further access on it. They have very limited access.

Step two is "Registered." A Registered member can read more areas of the Public Forums. Registration is open and automated, so anybody can register as a member. A registered member has access to most areas of the forum, but cannot access or post to some.

Step three is "Verified." A Verified member shows up in blue, and means that the other members of the verified area have voted on and accepted them to be allowed access to that area. There are four moderators that can allow that access, but it is allowed or denied based on the vote by the verified members.

A Moderator is a person that is charged with overseeing the forum and making sure that it runs smoothly. These are mostly selected by the owner, Phill, but for the last few added, he put his preferences to a vote by the Verified members. The moderators are held to a higher standard, so if we question you, we are doing it for the betterment or protection of the forum, not for any personal gain or reason. We are in a position of trust, and we take that seriously. If you feel uncomfortable in dealing with one person, feel free to contact another. We are comfortable in dealing with each other, and trust each other's opinions and knowledge.

There is only one Administrator/Owner on the forum, and that is Phill. He is the ONLY one that has the access to block membership or deny access to the forum. Phill relies on the modertors to keep everything running smoothly, but he also is open and makes his own decisions when approached.

I hope this clears up how it works on here. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact any of us, or post them.

Thank you ladies... I understand completely now.... sorry for the confusion... but I am a stickler for clarification and I have always thought (mistakenly) that "verification" and the "private area" were two entirely different levels... now I see they are synonymous.... (big word like mayonnaise)

and as for this Mr. Thompson:

Well, hell.......... don't worry about going on the chopping block... I stay on it and it ain't all that bad... you may have noticed that I am not a particularly "shy" person... if I don't understand something, or have a question that I need clarity on..... by God, I am gonna ask it and sometimes these really smart people on here probably get tired of explaining stuff to me......... especially more than 3 times.... but, when I get it....... I get it............. have a lovely day.........

We can't all be classified as "Fart Smellers"................ oh.......... I mean "Smart Fellers"
