I was reading the requirements to become a SRA/BEA in the state of Missouri, and am confused on the terminology on the state requirements of becoming licensed as a Surety Recovery Agent which reads.....

3. Any applicant for a surety recovery agent license must show proof of membership in a statewide professional association established to represent the interest of such surety recovery agents. The director of the department shall establish the requirements that an association must meet in order for it to be a recognized statewide professional association of which an applicant may be a member in order to be licensed as a surety recovery agent. Any rule or portion of a rule, as that term is defined in section 536.010, RSMo, that is created under the authority delegated in this section shall become effective only if it complies with and is subject to all of the provisions of chapter 536, RSMo, and, if applicable, section 536.028, RSMo. Does this mean I have to be a member of a Surety Recovery Agent association or a Surety Bond agent in the state of Missouri?
If the former..... what associations are there in Missouri (Sorry, I live in Kansas, but approx. 5 miles from the state line and have had skips run to the Mo. side to try to escape)?
