I want to be cremated and have my ashes put on the back deck of the race car and blown all over the track and just run me in.

Mr. Maclean,
I appologize for not getting to this post earlier but I was in training, all weekend. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. Feel free to call, if there is anything that you feel I might be able to help with or offer .... or if you just want/need to talk. You know from experience that I am good at that.

Scott Im sorry to hear that. Condolences to you and the family.

I didnt know you were a race fan? Ive been a NASCAR fan my whole life. Always wanted a dirt car. There is a track 3 miles from my house. Saturday nights when I have time, thats where I can be found. Great fun.

My brother used to drag race, and still works some of the NHRA races. I never got into racing, but that has nothing to do with my regret for your loss. Anytime we lose a loved one it is hard and brings our own mortality home. We also know that deep down the person will always be with us.

It is in my Will that I want to be cremated and my ashes spread in a specific place in the CO mountains. I think everyone should decide and write out their desires. It may seem morbid, but it is how we feel, and what we want. There isn't any question about conflicting interests. I know where my soul will spend eternity, once my body is gone, and that is all that really matters.

Thanks for the well wishes from everyone, this one was tough.

Andy, I have Raced Nascar Late Models for over 25 + years, ran USAC Midgets for 2 years, Dirt Late Models for 10 years and drove winged Super Sprinters back when I could fit in a seat for about 6 years. I met my wife racing against her brother and her father, so she was a natural fit!
