If this is what we can expect from a hurricane-what happens if the california fault beomes active and arizona and nevada become ocean front property--I submit that we could not even comprehend the scope of that rescue operation let alone plan for it--we as a country have never been good at large scale rescue ops because we are a reactive instead of proactive country and our politicians are narrow minded(always looking at whats good for themselves not what is good for the country)also most people now adays look at the goverment to take care of them instead of being self reliant(we seem to have lost that trait when we got into pc and kinder gentler society)--here comes reality people-- in a natural disaster more poor people will die.people that are more well to do will have more areas of escape.there are more poor black than poor white it has nothing to do with race it is a socio ecomonic reality--N_O is built below sea level du-du happens it is only a matter of time until mother nature reclaims her property-i can say this will happen again no matter what or how we build mother nature has a way of destroying our best efforts--you build a house on a beach one day the ocean will destroy it period--people are simply animals some are better domesticated than others-some revert back to their baser naturequicker than others--i for one would do anything to defend my family and yes i would break into food stores to get food and water if iwere in the n-o situation ---big but here i would not steal non essentials like electronics funiture etc. i would not rape and kill --i would kill anybody threatning my family and property in a heartbeat no matter what race or creed they were..again i say we need to get back to the old spirit of self reliant and community life---it seems to me the pioneer spirit leaked away with bigger goverment --welfare--irs--the growth of large contigious population centers--the UN and our manufactouring expertise and the growth of liberal thought--our population seems to be content to have goverment take care of them like cattle--no i am not preaching over through our goverment i am saying lets take our goverment back --our goverment is supposed to be for and by the people not for and by the politicians--its time we stand up and be counted--we pro beas tend to be more proactive and less sheep like than the general population-- get up and speak lets take back our towns villages cities and state one at a time--the elections are once again coming we do not need the kennadys the kerrys the bushes the mccains the clintons--we need people to stand up and say this is wrong lets fix it-this is what we need not what i need--its time to get the republicans and democrats out it time for americans to fix america not politicians making politicians richer and more powerful

As far as I'm concerned I am making efforts to get in with any security agencies going in to offer support in New Orleans and expect to see first hand what is going on.

(Thanks for the Wackenhut post there Tim! I sent them a resume and a bunch of pdf files of my law enforcement, security, and military certifcates and forms, I will be following up with a phone call tomorrow).

While I have not queried any of my contacts in law enforcement, federal or local, I am sure it is worse than what the media is currently portraying.

I believe the post regarding the next few weeks is correct, I'm sure we will see a lot more of the "truth" in the meantime it is somewhat amusing (in a sad sort of way) to see all the members of government pointing fingers at each other as to who is to blame.

Who are we going to vote for? Hardly anyone votes for an independant. And as I recall the last election it was Kerry or Bush or Nader (independant).

The people got what they asked for, the majority anyway. If they don't want it then they need to get off their butts and do something about it instead of just bitching and complaining.

It's sadding that most of the people don't even know what type of government we have, even though they (used to) say it in the "pledge of allegiance".

Let's see who is going to be available for the next presidential election, I have a feeling Hilary is going to be one of them.

Blackwater is the new leader in the "Private Army" business. In my opinion, they have replaced Vance International (which I still have a 3 digit ID number) in the "Private Army" business. These guys are truely "High Speed" and DEMAND the most from their people!

You are correct,if you are able to make into to their ranks or employment i can promise you can earn a good living. My good friend ( Military Friend from the 1970's) has been with them for a few years . He sent me an email a few days ago to ask if i would be interested in going to New Orleans that he was sure he could get me in with no problem i told him no not this time as i am pretty tied up on workman comp. cases at the present . I will be going down to that area in a few weeks to take my sister and her husband back home. Anyway i am getting to old for that kind of details.

I know what you are talking about. I also have "been there and done that". Plus, I'm 48 and getting to old to "hump the ruck" anymore. I say let the "young bucks run down and f**k the heard". I'll stay up here on the grassy knoll and cheer them on!

Besides, if I went to 'Orleans, I would not have access to the Net. Now how could I piss people off with no access to the Net??
