Hi guys, im new around here so ill let you know alittle bout myself. I study criminal justice @ John Jay and will major in it and minor in security. I work for one of the largest security companies in NY as the lead access control supervisor. We do all types of security work but we also have our own invesigation team compromised of retired nypd officers etc. I am very big into surveillance, gps tracking etc and plan on becoming a leo in the future. However with the terrible pay @ the NYPD, i make almost double that now and cant see myself taking such a large paycut just to be able to say im a cop. I have done some research on bea and so on and almost signed up for usrb till i saw this site LoL. What a waste that woulda been. Ive read through alot of topics and so on multiple sites about beas and so on, but theres never that much info on NY. Is this something i can pursue as a 2nd career additional to what i am doing now? Does it satisfy current beas ? What school would you guys suggest as a good credential for finding work in NY? How many beas carry a firearm in NY? Thanks guys.

You will need a $500,000 bond in New York before you can even begin to get your license

Well, seeing as to how you're a yankee and I'm a Southerner, you really don't want an honest answer to that question now do you ?...lol

I mean who would voluntarily live in a can of sardines surrounded by crime, grime and slime when they have the CHOICE to live amongst scenic countrysides, rolling hills, green pasture's, clean air, gorgeous women, low to moderate crime rates, excellent cuisine's, fishing, hunting, golfing, water sports, etc etc...

So are you just "nuts" ?...lol Look at where you are living...:)

Please don't be offended, I'm being satirical..:)

HaHa lol, i know what you mean just like being able to get to school, work and home within 3 miles and not having to drive to a deli at 3am for 20 mins when im hungry ;) or to get rubbers in an EM LoL

I mean where i live its very qiuet, very suburb like feeling, i agree though NYC is a sardine can
