I just received a reply from Mrs. Carol. The message above only affects the yearly, 8 hour classes, which most of you are concerned with. I was looking for a NEWBY school. Thank you for your posts, they just did not effect the training I was looking for. The hands-on (on the job) training is still available and will not be effected.

Mrs. Carol said S.P.S. is in the process of requesting backing by the Sheriffs Association and GA Post so that not only will they have top notch training but the training will be accredited through law enforcment. That seems to be what has created this situation. By next year they are sure that this will be sorted out and the 8 hours classes will once again be offered.

I did not ask if I could copy the message from S.P.S. or I would place the message on here for all to read.
