I saw some guys talking on a walkie talkie to a guy with a nextel phone. Anyone kow where to get the walkie talkies that work with nextels? Or is anyone using them?

Well the radio section is part of the cell phone and there distributors thru various branches of Best-Buys and other cellphone dealership.

Actually what Im looking for is a walkie talkie only but is compatible with the nextel phones. It does not have the phone on it but it works with the direct connect on the nextels. I probaly should have been a little clearer. I have nextels now, so I guess I will contact my dealer and see what he says. If anyone is using them please leave your input.

What has to be done is you need to take your Nextel into a radio shop(Commercial) and they will get the Freq. it use's and you will have to have them install it on yor walkie-Talkie we have had this done to 2 of our hand helds. It cost us $85 a radio. Hope this is the answer you are looking for.
