"Dog" Chapman owes the IRS the equivalent of 750,000 cans of Alpo.

Duane "Dog" owes the IRS more than $2 million in unpaid taxes going back to 2002, according to Pacific Business News.

As the story goes... Chapman owes $106,553 for 2002, $99,235 for 2003, $283,514 for 2004 and $1.56 mil in 2005.

According to the Biz News story, Dog's accountant says most of the taxes have been paid and he has been trying to get in touch with the IRS to clear up the matter.

TMZ, always at the ready to help, has a lead on how to get in touch -- 800-829-1040.

We could not get in touch with Dog for comment.

The "Dog" really makes me sick. He has really given a bad name to this business. I wish he would just give it up and retire.

I'm sure A&E will end up paying the taxes, just like they did the bribes to get him off the Mexico charges. There are numerous politicians and celebs in trouble with the IRS. Apparently they think that their status precludes them from paying taxes. WRONG!

If the taxes had been paid, they could easily prove it. I have seen the IRS make mistakes, but when payments are made under the correct taxpayer name and SSN, is easily corrected.
