Pamela Such / Staff Photographer A Scranton man who works as a security guard was arrested Thursday for having in excess of $10,000 worth of cocaine, marijuana and other drugs at his home. Police also found a cache of 13 semi-automatic rifles and handguns, several boxes of ammunition, two bullet-proof vests and gas masks at the home of Thomas J. Evanitsky at the rear of 523 Hemlock St. in Scranton. Mr. Evanitsky was a security guard with Century Security and worked at the General Dynamics ammunition manufacturing plant, where he was arrested without incident Thursday, said Andy Jarbola, Lackawanna County District Attorney. He also trained to be a bounty hunter which provided him with a badge that looks similar to a police badge, Mr. Jarbola said. All the guns were purchased legally. Mr. Evanitsky is being held on $300,000 bail.
