Very interesting...some of them I have obviously heard of and others not so much. However, I am sure there are many others in this industry that have substantial capture stats that a majority of us never hear about because they are not in this business for the glorification. 8)

There is no possible way of naming the top 10. Top 10 is based on what ?

There exists several professionals within our industry who have earned excellent reputations for themselves without resorting to unprofessional antics or publicity stunts in order to boost their image. Pride and ego merit a person nothing. They are both merely character flaws which are easily exploited. We must all deal with our pride and ego and some do a much better job at it than others.

I watched a fictional movie a while ago where one of the main characters was a recruiter and an instructor for an American intelligence agency. One of the character's lines went something like this, "Our failures are known, our successes are not." That kind of sounds like the bail bond and recovery business, if you ask me...

In my opinion, a true professional is not motivated by glory...

The people that wrote that article are typical of most journalist and bloggers today, all opinion, lazy writing and no research. Properly researched and written, it would have contained interviews with bail associations and prominent bondsmen that could have educated them. Some of the apprehension numbers quoted would not qualify one to be successful, let alone in any fictional top ten. I would put Leonard Padilla on the list, but never Bob Burton.

These folks called me for an interview... not real sure what happened, but when I ask them if I had to wear shoes and socks during the interview and could I bring my friend Bubba... they said... "we'll be in touch"...
