Post subject: | News Report about Women in the Bail Bond Industry |
I ran across this item about the fairer sex participating in the bail bond industry and thought it was well done. I thought it was especially noteworthy it was broadcast as a business report instead of a crime report. http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/story/2292 ... l-bondsmen" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow |

My daughters (I have two) have both been bondsmen... or bondwomen as the case may be... one of my daughters is now with the state department and is serving overseas while the other actually runs my company, which is in reality, her company also. If you go to my company webpage http://www.freestatebailbonds.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow" ,you will see both myself and my daughter... I am basically retired but still write bail simply because I keep getting calls from my .... "frequent flyers" as we refer to them... past customers that have my card and know that I will treat them with respect and do right by them... ... my daughter gets the majority of calls that come in and for the most part works them herself... she will call me if it is in the middle of the nite or if she is on another call but she is in charge. I started our little company in 1999, she came on board in 2005 and I will be the first to tell you... she is just as tough as any man that I know in this business... she is professional, well dressed, well mannered, good looking (if I may say that) and very savvy and smart... she handles her own cases from start to finish and when in court, she garners respect of those she deals with... from the court clerks to the judges to the deputies and police officers... yes, I did raise her but I can take no credit for that... she is tough because she has been a single gal for most of her life and had to fight and work things out for herself. I have been on recoveries with her but most of the time, she brings them back herself by simply telling them that "we can do this the easy way or the hard way" and they usually decide on the easy way... She has a concealed carry permit and shoots rather well... but she does not act the tough guy way or act as a cowboy... she does her job in a manner that makes me proud.... We don't have a TV show and probably will never be in the news... but frankly, that is, IMHO... a good thing. We operate in a small southern Virginia area and wish to keep it that way. ... so I can tell you from personal experience... women can do this job just as well as men and in many cases... (ghee I hate to say this).... better. |
