Thats why I HATE when guys carry mace when I go on a pick up .. I usually tell them them if I get maced by them and not the Subject .. I am going to taser them when I can see and breathe again ..

Leland gets his props from me because he did get his man by not quitting. I have personally witnessed allot larger guys turn tail and run, from the Skopje AND this industry after a "Come to Jesus" meeting such as this.

That stuff is "no bueno!" I've been nailed before, myself and I really didn't enjoy it to much. He's got a lot of tenacity. He still got the job done.

Getting maced is just part of the job. It's happened to police officers, soldiers, and yes, even some of us. That in and of itself is not newsworthy....its how we handle it that counts.

Some people will keep persevering after their quarry; others will tuck tale and run, still others simply retreat to safer positions and wait for back up. In each incident we all must do what is legal and safest for all concerned. In the end, all that truly matters is going home in 1 piece at the end of the shift, mission, etc.

I do ccw/cpl classes, and love to train. I would appreciate the opportunity to get some experience in his field, so if anyone can use any free help, I'm used to working in high risk and high liability situations.
