MOVED FROM ANOTHER SECTION Pennsylvania Senate Passes Castle Doctrine Legislation Tuesday, March 08, 2011 Earlier today, the Pennsylvania Senate voted 43 to 4 to pass important self-defense reform legislation. Senate Bill 273, Castle Doctrine legislation, reintroduced by state Senator Richard Alloway, II (R-33), would allow law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their home and any place outside of their home where they have a legal right to be. If enacted, this law would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker’s family when force is used. SB 273 will now move to the House for consideration. A House Committee hearing date has not been set for this important legislation. |

However if the "law abiding citizen" knows it is LE the Castle Doctrine goes out the door. This is why it is ever more important in our professions to CHECK IN with the Local LE . . . Yes, even if it is not required in your AO. |
