Post subject:  MODERATORS

I'd like to educate our readers to the following:

1) Currently, there are 10 moderators, 9 active, 1 inactive.

2) NO ONE SINGLE MODERATOR RUNS FRN.

3) None of the moderators own, or are financially vested with FRN.

4) FRN Issues: When moderators are made aware of a potential issue, ranging anywhere from an inappropriate post to disputes between readers, the offending or questionable post is removed to the Moderators section where we discuss it and potential resolutions. Whatever is decided, then the appropriate action is taken...

a) Reinstatement of the post

b) Deletion of the post

Regarding personal disputes, we as moderators attempt to act as mediators to resolve the issues. Typically we follow the standard democratic practice of voting on potential resolutions. If a reader doesn't like the proffered resolution THEN they should contact the owner aka "Admin".

5) Moderators are VOLUNTEERS. None of us are paid for our service to FRN.

6) Abuse: This is a constant allegation from readers. It usually follows when a post has been removed. 1 of the first statements made by the offender is that the moderator "abused" thier position when the post was removed. If you, the reader, will refer back to the "Forum Rules" you will read there where the Admin clearly states certain things...1 of which is that the "Buck Stops Here."

We understand all of the variables involved with an international forum with readers from all walks of life, of all levels of intelligence, education, and experience. We further understand that not everyone will get along with each other. This is where practicing diplomacy pays off. Just simply agree to disagree and walk away from the offending issue/person.

"Any 2 idiots can argue.....only takes 1 wise man to walk away"---My Father.

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rapidly promoted by an unscrupulous, mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

In other words, I agree with RWB

We have wild turkeys in our yard..
I hear these suckers at all hours of the day and night..but we don't see them as much..
A friend of mine said its mating season....so...all that noise...animal porn in my backyard....????
It drives me nuts, Kelsey barks at them...it's crazy...

Lol.....yeah...it's spring time....and you're correct, you wont hardly ever see one. I don't know if you remember your HS history, but Ben Franklin had actually nominated the Turkey as our national emblem opposing the Eagle. He stated that the Turkey is one of the most intelligent birds he had ever observed.

You should probably contact your local Game Warden or County Agricultural Agent...the person who works with your local farmers. They have humane wild animal removal programs available to help in these situations. What they do is trap them, remove them, and then release them back into the wild away from civilization.

Adopt a full grown, older ex-wild "Tomcat" from your local animal shelter. They'll be gone in a couple of days...1 way or the other......
