Post subject:  this might be a weird question about licensing in california

this time next year, i would like to be working in southern california, doing bail enforecement/fugitive recovery.

I already have prior law enforecement experience, i was a sheriffs deputy and worked at the juvenile dtention center.

1- would this count towards any classes that I might have to take in california?

2- i dont know if this would be illegal or not, but the friends that I live with said i could use their address ahead of time to "establish residency", would i get in trouble for this, or can i do this and still do what i need to do while living here in arkansas?

thanks,. Rick.

You would not need to establish residency in California to be certified as a BEA in Cali. The only class I can see your previous LEO work counting towards is your PC832 class, but I doubt it (please correct me if Im wrong). Not to worry, the class is only 4 weeks long and having previous LE experience should make it an easy class.
