Post subject: | Can anyone verify this information... |
First I will start off by telling you how I came across this group...I was reading the local classified ads and came across one that read "Fugitive Recovery Agents Needed, must be able to travel, no felonies and clean background Call" and it listed 2 cell phone numbers. Immediately I did a reverse look up on the numbers and found they were both local, one in the county and one slightly outside. I called them yesterday morning and had a long talk with one of the guys and he gave me some information and requested my information, I gave him the most basic info about me. This whole time I have been thinking SCAM, so I am very careful about what I gave him etc. So after I talk to him for a bit he wants to set me up for an interview and he wants to meet me at KRYSTALS?! and he tells me that there is a cost involved for in house training and "certification", the cost is $450. So we set up the interview, cause by this time I am absolutely curious about how deep they are going to go with this and to see if they slip up. Later this guys partner calls me and wants to talk to me a little bit basically get the same info that the other guy did and telling me about the company. He goes on to say that they have a HIGH dollar "Federal" contract to serve warrants out of the area and they will be gone several days out of the week and they have some local things in town as well. Well I am pretty new to the game and I want to break into this business but if there is one thing I am not its stupid, so I am going to try and find out about these guys, so on to KRYSTALS?! I go. I get there and immediately spot them sitting in a corner just from there pseudo police clothes, I make my introductions and they give me an application to fill out which is the most generic app that I have ever done in my life....but none the less I fill it out being very vague and not giving my vital info and listing my PO Box, stuff like that. I finished the app and they came over and talked to me and they talked a good game and the money sounded very enticing (in the neighborhood of 1600/week). The whole time I just keep feeling like this is too good to be true... well we talked some more and they said they would be in contact with me shortly about my app. The called me later that evening and told me to meet them at KRYSTALS?! today for a second interview, I agreed. So this whole time I have been searching about this company and can not find anything about these guys...ok i understand that this may be a new company and are possably working out of home but I was surprised to find nothing. So I will be meeting these guys today at krystals this morning and maybe i will find out a little more... Now the things that make me think this is a scam is: 1. If you want to hire me why would you charge me $450.00 for this training that will be done in house and I will be given a "Certificate" from an in house instructor? 2. I am new to this but I haven't heard of a Federal Government agency contracting to civilians to serve federal warrants. 3. I couldn't find anything verifiying there business. I could be totally off base and these guys could be legit, and if they are or are not odds are, someone here would know. The name of the company is S & S Bond Enforcement. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please provide me with some feed back on this.... |

This is an old scam being run here locally and throughout our state. One of the first things I warned Mr. Watts about was this very scam...Alabama has no mandated state certication. So any person claiming to offer Alabama Certification for xxx amount of dollars is only fleecing people. I would ask these people for a business card and a copy of thier business license. |

Send me $250 - I provide you with Cerificate! It will say something like this: Quote: Presented to
YOUR NAME HERE This certifies that the person named above has been verified. We affirm & guarantee that they submitted the proper documentation to receive this award. Basically I verified that you submitted $250 (that would be the documentation along with your name to be printed on the certificate!) Any takers? Okay, I'm just kidding - but seriously sounds like you did your homework. Be careful there are a bunch of SCAMS out there. |

Rick Montellone? Is this the same guy that sent out mailers a couple of years ago who had run scams in other states? He had invited all of the bonding companies to a free dinner at a hotel when he first arrived. Same one? |
