Post subject: | QUESTION |
Why is it Chapman is never-ever shown going into the Honolulu Police Department? I know why... does anyone else know why? He was displayed on TV saying he pities "bounty hunters" who have firearms because when he and his gang met with physical resistance he said it was a situation where 'lethal force' would have been justified. Comments such as that on national television can certainly spark Legislators into thinking none of us ever need to have a firearm in the pursuit of our duties. That guy and his posse are just believable! The negativisms grow and grow like a dark and damp mold. |

I never left. I merely don't participate in topics that go nowhere nor do I have the patience to explain matters to new people. I post when there are "major wrongs" being committed that effect us all. |

L.A.W., I appreciate your position. I caught the episode you were referencing shortly after your post. I found the initial contact and troubled arrest rather standard, but the post-arrest activity seemed very curious to me. Succintly put, it is my opinion that Mrs. Chapman is clearly a liability in terms of safety in that she insists on provoking and otherwise engaging people in unproductive verbal arguments rather than exfiltrating as soon as is possible. Mrs. Chapman's antics are not the way to conduct arrest operations in my opinion, and certain segments of their show could certainly be used for training purposes, in my opinion. Equally curious, and correct me if my perception is off, is the seemingly high number of bail skips who meander around the open streets where they are picked up. I've never worked in that area, but, in my area, I can't recall ever having such a high number of cases--even in-house cases--closed by such great luck. It is worth mentioning that I understand that the show is edited, and this process may take away from the larger picture. I'm not suggesting that all of Mr. Chapman's closed cases ended in a drive-by sort of pick up, but one has to wonder about the apparent frequency of so many. Again, these are just my observations and should in now way refelect negatively upon the Chapmans without counterpoints being raised by the Chapman's themselves. Rex |

Everybody seems to over look the fact that Mr. Chapman is a convicted felon and couldn't carry a gun if he wanted to. His wife causes more troble than she's worth with her mouth. as far as going into the jail i figured since he was a Ex-felon he couldn't file the arrest. IF i'm worng i applogize LAW |

I know "DOG" created a scene outside Honolulu PD last year when he began screaming at some BEA's from US Pacific Recovery who were also there surrendering a prisoner. I don't know if this is why he doesn't go in or if Honolulu PD decided they didn't want him in there for other reasons. |

Wayne, You raise a good point. A convicted felon may not enter most jail facilities absent permission from a given facility commander here. Is this frequently encountered California jail policy relevant as matters pertain to Mr. Chapman not being seen entering into PD facility? Incidental but still relevant, I'm waiting for a bail client, who has watched Mr. Chapman's show, to uneccesarily run when offered a reinstatement letter after missing court. Rex |

Chapman cannot go into the Honolulu PD because the Chief and most other superior officers cannot stand him. I got this info straight from a high-ranking officer at HPD last year; the same officer who stated he wished A&E would air some of the 'run ins' (his words) they've had with the Chapmans. As regards the woman he calls his wife (no one ever found proof they are married)... the one who wears the way-too-short-for her-immense-size Halloween costumes which are comparable to wrapping a piano in a hankerchief... she, too, cannot go into HPD without an escort and only for personal business not bail related. I wonder which is larger... her mouth or her bust and I don't give a sweet or sour damn who doesn't like my 'observations' and 'comments'. I call it as I see it without the burden of having to adhere to being 'politically' or 'socially' correct. The truth is the truth. Period. Ladies and gentlemen... Lance has now left the building! |

What Lance said is fact! We have an individual that works for us that is just a few doors away from their office and they communicated exactly what Lance just said. They absolutely can not stand the site of him or his common law or legal wife. A Captain fo 5-0 told my partner that as soon as the A&E fiasco wears off and they stop filming him he will be sent back to Mexico to answer the charges. He (The Captain) said that they could not do it now because A&E would have their high priced lawyers on them before they could place him on a flight out of the Islands. And he also said that the Warrants have come through to send him back. |
