Hello everyone and thanks for a great site.....
I am looking for someone to answer a question for me.....
I have recently moved to Kansas and now want to finaly persue a career as a Bounty Hunter. I have talked briefly to a Bondsman here about it and he asked if I have any felony convictions. Sad to say my answer was yes. He stated that in the state of Kansas I could not be a Bounty Hunter. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? If so I think that is wrong because who would be better to locate a wanted person than someone who was wanted?
Well hope to hear some good news soon......But if it is only bad news atleast my question may be answered.

You are going to find out that quite a few states will not allow you to do this type of work. Here in Arkansas you are not allowed if you have been convicted of a felony, even if you come from a state that does allow you to do BEA work, you would not be allowed to do so here, you could not even transport a fugitive.
Check with your State Police about the laws in Kansas.
