Can anybody help me with this Problem or shall I say Phone Problem, my Phone keeps ringing all day! and when I get home, there are at least 6 messages on my answering machine and when I Push the button to see who called.....I just get beeps! and nothing else, so I managed to get the number (1-866-683-7588) and the message on the other end say "If you want to unsubscribe add your Phone number to unsubscribe". Of course I did not do that, just want to know if anybody ever experience this before.

Robert, sounds like an automated fax dialer. That would explain the beeps. And, unsolicited faxes are required to give a number to "unsubscribe" to their spam.

I have not had that specific problem...but I have had issues with wrong #'s from company's trying to fax me stuff.

I traced the sending fax # to thier respective owner's and advised them to cease n decist immediately. Sometimes they wanted to argue, and I simply told them "1 more time and you go to jail..that simple".

Here in Alabama we have a law against such abusive practices: "Electronics Communications Harrassment" Covers any type of commnunication performed by mechanical devices such as faxes, cell phones, e-mails, im's, etc. No means NO !

I use this on pesky telemarketer's..we all know how invasive, rude and annoying those are. When they call I advise them to remove my # immediately and not to call back. They reply they have 30 days yadda yadda..I reply not according to MY state law, no you don't. If you or anyone else calls me from your company again I wil call the police and the Sr. person on duty will be charged and arrested ! So call again if you feel lucky...

Oddly enough they never do....funny how that 30 day thing just goes right out the window....lol
