Post subject:  Questions, comments, criticisms

I have been playing with a website on one of the free hosting places for a couple of days and wondered what everyone thought. I'm trying to get my design/content organized before I try to have something put up on a pay hosting site. I know the site is kinda lame, but I'm just starting to try and organize it.

Any questions, comments, criticisms, flames, etc. would be welcome. :)

I have a friend in California that is a website designer. He could make you an awesome site for a very fair price. Im talking possibly a few hundered maybe less if its not a huge site. His site is www.wrkg.com and his name is Dave Forster. I highly recommend him. Let him know I referred you and he will take care of you. He has very reasonable hosting which is usually included in the design price. See what he can do.

I think it is a good start, Michael. Get your ideas out there, then when you decide to go professional you will know what you want and not have to make a lot of changes.

Thanks for the info, Tim; I kinda need to get my "stuff" together more on what I want for the site...but I do need help...a lot of help.

Yeah Kathy, like my old english teacher said...Get something down on paper first then you have something to work with. I probably need to put my services and the fees for them on different pages, and then see what I can shuffle around.

A bit of advice..leave the fees off of it. It may drive customer's away or it may cause you to work too cheaply. Everything is negotiable...

Think about this: How come dealerships don't put sticker prices on used cars ? To force an interaction between yourself and them. If they price the car, then you would just walk away and probably not talk to them.

He could give you all kinds of advice and give you some good pointers on what to include or what not to include. Here is a site he done for me awhile back when I was considering starting a security business. www.allcitysecurity.com Its a simple site and straight to the point.
