I am politely inquiring as to who you are so that you may be checked out against BSIS. Before I would agree to anything, I would do my homework on any potential "partner".

Thanks for the inquiry. I noticed that you are located in Southeastern U.S. I am only looking for B.B.R.A's located in SAN DIEGO.
Also, due to unfortunate incidents resulting from posting personal info on this site in the past,(like from Oliver and his lackeys, for example) I no longer divulge info on a general request.
However, if you (or any other interested persons) are in the San Diego area and would like to meet, I have no problem exchanging credentials at that time.

If you are in CA, you know that BBRA is not the correct abbreviation for what CA terms their bail enforcement agents. So, if you are only looking for CA agents to network with, why not use the correct term? Only those who are in CA, or work with some who are, or who have been around long enough to have researched and know the various state laws, know the correct term. While I am not in CA, I have many contacts there, and know enough of the law to know the correct name given BEA's there and what is required to qualify.

So while I can understand your reluctance to release personal info, you really should be willing to prove yourself to a community of professionals who also tend to be very skeptical of those we don't know.

In addition to kathy's response, and what you are not aware of, is that I have California contracts, thought I could farm some out to you...but I see now that would not be wise.

I am aware that "Fugitive Recovery Person" is the correct term for California operators, pursuant to Ca. PC Section 1299.04. San Diego law enforcement agencies, jailors and courts I.D. us as Bail Bond Recovery Agents. Also, I have been working in S.D. since 2002, so I do know what is required to qualify.
In my original posting I was looking for people to network with who LIVE AND OPERATE IN SAN DIEGO CURRENTLY, not to get barraged with insults and "common sense" schooling. It appears to me that this site may not be the wisest option for networking. I should have learned my lesson the first time.

I'm sure there was not an intention to insult you. However, there are many wannabe "people" out there and the only way to vet them out is to ask for a little more info and to question the terminology they use.

As far as kissing this site goodbye, thats your call. But I can tell you that I have made and used contacts here that has helped me with understanding the laws, rules and regs of all the other states that allow commercial bail.

I know that if I have a skip or need info I can find the help here a lot faster and better qualified than any other forum! They're a tough bunch. However you will not find a more knowledgable, experienced and sharing group. PERIOD!

I spoke to this gentleman earlier this afternoon and he explained his caution. He has been a victim of Anthony Oliver and thought I was him.

Turns out we know some of the same people there in California.

He just was being careful...just like we are.

That's good to know!! Thanks, Ruffin. And, SoCal, I wasn't trying to be rude, just as Tony said, we are skeptical until we have a name to check out.

I understand completely. I'm the same way with any help that I consider utilizing. Since my first posting I spoke with "TSUGGS" and "MINDTRACKER", it was very positive, and we discovered that we know some of the same people. Professional networking is very important. I think I'll hang around here for awhile.
