I don't know about the rest of you folks, but it is my profesional opinion that this person is simply wasting our time. He/She is redundant in thier queries, He/She mask the same question in different formats, He/She refuses to do thier own independent investigations and research into the subject matter, etc etc. This person has been told, repeatedly by several on here, that the information they seek is already here on this forum in previous threads. All they have to do is a little bit of digging they can answer thier own questions. Also, the questions that are being asked are incredibly "juvenile" to me. I know I have been taught, thus I have taught it myself, that there is no such thing as a "dumb" question, but every rule has exceptions and this person is pushing those boundaries. Anyway, I am done with this person unless a question arises that is truly field related and of minimum intelligence. Aloha.... |

You're not new to the field "heysoose33". How can you be new to something you're not even a part of? Your simple questions can be answered by what they've said before, do some research... Now, with that said, if you are too lazy to do the research, then you need to go to one of the "Dog wanna be chat rooms". They will chat with you all day and all night. They love simple questions. God Bless that "heysoose33" |

jesus33, I don't think anyone has issues with people asking questions and wanting to learn more about a profession, but when the questions are so general and especially a topic that has been covered before in either the Q&A section or previous posts, it gets a little frustrating. I would suggest to you a few hours of personally digging through this forum to read past posts (not just current posts either) and also spend some time with the Q&A section. The people who have been doing this area of work will have a better level of respect and understanding if you have "done your time" by actually researching things and proving your seriousness by not expecting someone else to just "hand you" the answer to all your questions. One more bit of advice: Don't skim through the Forum posts based on their headings only. I remember one posts about "uniform" ended up getting a lot of information posted in it that had nothing to do with a uniform, but was very helpful discussing other issues. Keep digging and you will find what you want to know. Just my 2ยข worth... |

When I first found this forum, and as I find others, I spend the time to read every post on them. I may have opinions that I post on various topics, but these are from personal experiences or opinions about the topic. I didn't think that I was a novice when I registered here, but I learned much information that would understandable classify me as one. I didn't care that it took me weeks to read all of the posts, I made it a point to read them. I cannot state the value of the knowledge that I received. I was always taught that the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked, but with all of the information available here and elsewhere, do the research, then ask the question. There are no dumb questions, but there are those that are asked and answered in many arenas and by many people. Check those out first, then ask and you will get a respectable response. |

I am not sure why we are upset when this is being done in the open forum and can be ignored if we so choose. We as in most of us have the other section to discuss matters of importance so as to avoid some in this section. Why do we waste so much energy instead of ignoring such posts and keep the serious discussions in the other section. I kinda look at the open forum sometimes as humor and try and remember how green I was awhile ago and if it bothers me sometimes I choose to ignore and once in awhile I choose to engage but I certainly never lose any sleep over it. |
