I am new to his board and found this forum while looking for some bail enforcement agent forums. While reading some of the comments and answers I found there were alot of smart and talented bail enforcement agents in here. So I need help on a couple of questions. I live in the state of VA but am moving to the west coast to move closer to family. Once I move I am going to pursue a carreer in Bail Enforcement. Out of these 4 states where is the best place to begin as a bail enforcement agent. Colorado, Nevada, Hawaii, and the state of Washington. Also do these states have any training schools in them. Last is this profession more dangerous then being a Law Enforcement Officer. Thanks GOD Bless. |

Nevada and Washington are highly regulated. Contact Rhino from this forum for info about Washington. Colorado requires that you take a P.O.S.T. certified course and be felony free for 15 years. I don't think HI has much regulation, but are working on passing one which will not allow you to work there if you have a felony. You also cannot possess a firearm there for any reason. LE and BE are dangerous. The difference is that we know every person we go after is wanted. There is a sticky post entitled BEA FAQ's. That will help to answer many questions about the profession. |
