Fugitive in a Spider Hole

I need some basic information or advice on this guy that is tucked into a new spider hole since I put pressure on his other areas where he was hiding. I have it from a valid source that he is at his mother's house, which is 2 doors down from the address on his Recog, I don't have eyes on him yet and I'm an ass hair away from disguising myself as a pizza man to get him or whoever is there to open the door and nabbing him. I've had other buddies of mine telling me to call the cops in and wait at the back door but I'm not sure if I should wait until dark or do it in the day time? Also, if I gave the correct address to his probation office and but the Recog is saying a different address, meaning I have no legal right to kick the door down unless observing him at that moment. I don't know, I'm a bit lost right now and he's a sizable amount of coin, throw me a bone here, Virginia BEA's..let me know

Like me say this first poor preparation makes for a poor work product. Based solely on the information as provided, I would suggest that you do surveillance, secure the proper intelligence and know for sure that he is at that residence. Then develop an action plan absent kicking down the resident’s door, if you are sure that the bandit is there always attempt to secure consent from the lawful resident. Lastly notify the local law enforcement agency prior to any investigative or apprehension activity prior to its undertaking as prescribed by Virginia laws. Best of luck, be safe...

Well the first problem I have in this neighborhood is that I'm a large white boy in the middle of the projects, so unless I'm wearing a mask there's really no ability to do surveillance, and the family members who live there already know what I look like. So, Thursday i called local pd, asked for assistance to watch the back window for him, they sent 8 cops and a K-9 unit, and I proceeded to bang on the door for an hour, with no one answering, however the police did notice someone turning the lights off and on again. I heard voices even though his mother (the tenant and consigner) was at work. Problem is that the recog doesn't match the apartment, it's about 6 numbers short of 08, next door but still. After all the bullcrap the cops left and I sat down in the buildings stairs and pretended to be out of the area. Shorty after that his brother came by (who had said he hated his brother) with a case of beer, when he saw me the usual diatribe of "huh, who, what?!" When I coyly smiled and asked about his brother and who the beer was for even though he didn't live there, he walked out of the area, to his car, and pretended to call his mother, who was at work according to him, but the beer was for her because he thought she was home? Even though they work together? Ten minutes after the brother left I chuckled and walked back to my car and proceeded to the magistrate. Funny thing is that in Virginia you can't charge family with accessory after the fact or harboring a fugitive, jacked up no?
Thanks for the advice DSI, alas I can none with it, maybe in an area where I would blend in better sure, but not there not without a credible disguise

DSI is one of the best on this site... his advice is always on top.

My thoughts are that I think you have blown this one from the standpoint of surprise... after your last action, I can tell you that everyone that is even remotely associated with this guy knows who you are and that you are hot on him... you probably won't see him in this area for a while or he at least will be extremely vigilant... unless he is just plain stupid.

I frankly hesitate to discuss specific tactics on the open forum... general advice from this site however is good.

I have often been guilty of discussing things a bit too deep on this open forum... I am trying to correct that more recently.

I would advise you to hook up with some seasoned recovery agents and pick their brains... but probably not on a public forum... fugitives read this stuff too....

I apologize if I seemed indifferent or arrogant it was not my intention to seem as if I didn't value DSI's advice. In this particular situation there wasn't a lot of information on this person from the start, not even a picture, I was given squat and then more became clear as I peeled back the layers of the onion. Yes I'm sure him and his buddies know who I am and that I'm in the area but I do have a coupe of avenues left in order to nab him, my only issue is trying to remain inconspicuous, haha. I'm working on a fairly steep learning curve here so forgive me for making blatant rookie mistakes, such as detailing the engagement from the previous night.
