Condolences to the families. Due to the number of shootings as well as the economy, I have started to carry again, everywhere I go that I am allowed to. Military bases are out of the question, even in my secret squirrel capacity. Scott |

I agree Scott, I am in appying for my CA CCW. If approved it will still take up to 6 months to get. In the meantime, I at least have a weapon in my vehicles, following all CA laws in regards to transporting weapons in CA. |

My condolences to the families and employees that have work with Officer Falcone (as well as the other Law Enforcement officers recently passed this year while in the line of duty). I myself have always carried while working and off the clock where permitted, of course. We as professional bondsmen and recovery agents never know when we will encounter the person(s) that we are looking for. I myself have had several occasions where I happened to be fueling up my vehicle or in the convenience store and stumbled across the person I was looking for. One particular occasion was pulling up to a valet at a casino in Las Vegas when I was looking for a skip out of another state. I had decided to take a couple of hours to myself with a relative and play some pai gow poker. Incidentally, before I was able to disarm and lock up my equipment in the trunk, i grabbed the "valet" key and as I was preparing to hand it to the attendant, I realized that the attendant himself was the person I was looking for. Of course, we apprehended him and I had to skip the game play. Point being, even when we aren't working.... we are still working. That is what always keeps us on the ball. Be safe out there everyone, and keep in mind and hearts with all of our fallen comrades as we shall learn from their unforseen circumstances. |
