I have to serve papers to one of my co-signers that is currently living and working around the Eden, GA area. I can pay for this, just looking for a reliable person that can hand serve the papers. After the court case is decided most likely serve the co-signers business for garnishment of wages also. Anyone in ther area interested? This is a civil suit where the cosigner needs to be served in person. Papers need to be served by November 15th at the latest. |

Four hours out, for me. Not my usual AO. I checked before responding because I was not sure how far it was. I can serve in the area due to the out of state process but......"Its a far piece". If you don't find anyone else, give me a shout. I am sure we can work something out. |

Just curious about this service... I know in Virginia, service on debt related summons are served generally by the county sheriff in the AO and out of states are served likewise... the court charges a fee for instate and an additional out of state... but it is generally handled in house (court process) ... I do know however, that this particular process is very slow and sometimes it is better to go outside and get a private server... as you obviously need due to time frame. As said, just curious of the process. I guess it differs in each state. I have served papers for clients on occasion although I am not listed as a process server... when they want it done quickly and they know I will do what I can to locate the person... sometimes the local LE just doesn't have the manpower or the time to snoop around if the person is not sitting exactly where the address says... |

Yea in Minnesota you can pay the sheriff's to serve papers, but it is a very time consuming option, we just dont have that time. We have looked into a few private serving companies, but prices are outrageous, so i was looking on here to see if there was a local agent. at this point it looks like it might be cheaper to actualy just fly into atlanta rent a car and go serve her myself, but who knows, maybe something will pop sooner.. |

Bill, Yak and Snow have both done excellent jobs for me, that took an investigator to complete. When the civil papers are filed, it is your option to have the state do it or to have the papers sent directly to the plaintiff for service at his expense by a private process server. Scott |
