Got this in an email today....... thought it was interesting.... you may have already seen it, but......

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Let me see if I understand this...

IF YOU CROSS THE NORTH
KOREAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET 12 YEARS HARD
LABOR.

IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN
BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED
INDEFINITELY.

IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN
BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT.

IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI
ARABIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE
BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM
AGAIN.

IF YOU CROSS THE
VENEZUELAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND
YOUR FATE WILL BE SEALED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN
BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO POLITICAL PRISON TO
ROT.

IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET :

A JOB,
A DRIVERS LICENSE,
SOCIAL SECURITY CARD,
WELFARE,
FOOD STAMPS,
CREDIT CARDS,
SUBSIDIZED RENT OR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE,
FREE EDUCATION
FREE HEALTH CARE
A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON
BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN YOUR LANGUAGE
THE RIGHT TO CARRY YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG WHILE YOU PROTEST THAT YOU DON'T
GET ENOUGH
RESPECT
AND, IN MANY INSTANCES, YOU CAN VOTE.

I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAD A FIRM
GRASP ON THE SITUATION.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Is there any reason to ask why so many of use LEGAL US CITIZENS become outraged and protest and call for Washington to change this stuff???????????????? and why those of us that consider ourselves 'conservative' tend to be upset with the other side of the political spectrum... I think they are referred to as 'Liberals'?

I certainly have nothing against the freedoms we enjoy, but let them earn them by doing it the way our immigrant ancestors did.... by entering legally and working their azz off to earn the rewards.

Bill,
My wife and I were having this discussion last night...

What speaks the loudest is what is not said. I have never seen in print or heard reported what I am about to say in any other form of media...

When illegal aliens find work and provide illegally obtained or fraudulent Social Security numbers, their employers withhold the appropriate employee's share of taxes and match that with the employer's share of taxes, usually 12% for both sides (Kathy is the accountant and will correct me if I am wrong). That resulting 24% of tax revenue is held by the government awaiting tax returns that will result in a refund of some amount. BUT, if the illegal doesn't file taxes, the government keeps all of that money, and keeps quiet about it. If someone else is reporting, and paying revenue, against your Social Security number, they can determine that by the W-2 and location of employment. You don't receive the benefit because you neither declared that income or proved by W2 that you paid the reported amount of tax due on that income. so you don't get it back! Your tax return stands alone on the information that you provided, mum is the word and the government profits from illegal aliens. The old adage is to follow the dollar, and that will determine the root cause of why they don't jail them and send them back.

I am a notary public like many bail agents are. I have seen an increase in the number of undocumented aliens, undocumented workers or the new PC term undocumented immigrants, in other words, ILLEGALS ALIENS, that come into our office needing to have their IRS tax forms notarized.

Problem is, most do not have proper identification, so I can't notarize their forms so that they can file a tax return.

So there are some employers out their that knowling hire illegals and actually report their income and witholding to the IRS.

Somehow they are given a taxpayer identification number, even though they are, illegally here.

Can some one explain that to me?? :?:

I used to run other bondman's credit cards for them... one in particular I ran for several years and sent him a report at years end reflecting the checks I had cut him (1099).... one year he did not report the income and I was contacted to pay the taxes on over 35,000 income I showed but did not claim.... duuuuuhhhhhhhh..... I no longer run other bondsman's credit cards.... I used to be such a nice guy but now I am just an old bastard. (Gail told me that :| )

So what can we do about the illegal aliens and the problems you have reflected here... can't we ask these questions of our congressmen????? seems simple enough... we just follow up on it and see????

So here is what the link states:

Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers were created for foreign investors and visitors who owe taxes but are not eligible for a Social Security number. ITINs have recently been the subject of much scrutiny as a large number of undocumented aliens were able to obtain Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers. ITINs enable undocumented immigrants to legally file taxes in the United States, even if they lack the appropriate immigration status. The Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax number issued by the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) and it is not related to the USCIS or the Social Security Administration. The ITIN is only issued for tax purposes. An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) does not provide the right to work or live in the United States.

Advantages of Filing Taxes and obtaining an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN):

•You may get a cash refund on your tax returns
•You can prove that you have lived in the United States
•Filing taxes is considered “good moral character” by the USCIS
•You comply with U.S. tax laws by filing and paying taxes
•Tax returns can be requested by banks and mortgage companies when applying for a loan
Filing taxes may help you to apply for residency in the future
•Some banks and credit card companies may let you open an account with an ITIN, instead of a Social Security Number
•You are establishing a credit history by obtaining an ITIN and filing taxes
•Filing taxes with an ITIN can help you apply for legal immigration status if the proposed Immigration Amnesty is approved by the U.S. government

So if you break the law by entering the country illegally, if you file and pay taxes you are now considered a person of good moral character.

How about if I cheat my clients out of money but, pay the taxes on it, do I again have a good moral charcater?

We always hear that there is no way to round up all the illegals in this country.

Lets try this.

Have them all apply for a TIN. When they file a return, have them come into a IRS center to collect the tax refund. Guess who we have waiting for them when they come in?

Tony

Al Capone went down for Tax Evasion, not all of the murders he committed or caused to be committed. My opinion stands, it is all about the money.
