Let's say the guy is wanted in El Paso, Texas. You track him down to Texarkana, Arkansas and apprehend him. Can you just drive across State Line Avenue and turn him over to the first Texas cop you see, or do you have to bring him all the way across Texas? |

That question is not quite that simple... it has a lot to do with who wants him, who has him and what kind of charges he has on him.... there is no simple answer to say the least but the first one is as reflected already in this post... who are you and why do you ask? If your just asking an off the wall question, I'll give you an off the wall answer.... if you aren't licensed as a bondsman or PI in Texas and/or do not have a certified bondsman or PI with you... and you are holding someone and you go up to a Texas cop and tell him you are holding someone... you will be in the backseat of the squad car with him... Isn't that about the size of it Kathy? |

Texas is very strict on their laws, and so is Arkansas. I wouldn't suggest doing a snatch and grab from AR and having to explain it to TX LE unless you have all of the proper qualifications. Judging from your question, you probably don't. Otherwise you would know the laws in TX as to where you could turn a person in. |

Thought so! You know what they say, "Don't mess with Texas." That includes their BHs. |
